COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Colorado Springs police are looking for a man who hit two 7-Eleven convenience stores early Wednesday, armed with a Klingon sword.
The first robbery was reported at 1:50 a.m., at 145 N Spruce St. The clerk told police a white man in his 20s, wearing a black mask, black jacket, and blue jeans, entered the store with a weapon the clerk recognized from the Star Trek TV series.

...When I was here in Manila during election season last year, on every single day at least one politician or candidate was shot - I’m not exaggerating. Usually the deed was carried out by policemen on motorcycles, who had been hired as hit-men. That action costs around $100 US, for a “VIP” to be taken out (it’s only around $20-40 for an “ordinary” citizen to be eliminated). Politicians here in the Philippines tend to look over their shoulders a lot! Just as politicians in the US should....

Both cards ended with two male grapplers (one was identified as "Straight Dave" and wore camouflage) tearing each other's clothes off and, while in underwear, kissing down their opponent's chest.

In Atlanta this week? Couple of appearances by Darryl Rhoades that should prove interesting:

This is a special songwriter's in the round featuring myself and Tommy Strain, Bill Turpin and another songwriter. We will each be performing songs we wrote and giving background on each song. This may turn out to be glorified free entertainment but it's something I'm doing for preparation for more legitimate showcase venues.
It's a first time for me doing something like this and encourage everyone to come out and support this.

San Francisco is to hold a vote on whether to rename one of its largest sewage treatment facilities after George W. Bush, in what supporters describe as “a fitting monument to the President’s work”.
More than 8,500 signatures have already been gathered in support of the plan — 1,300 more than the minimum required to get the proposal on the November ballot. The scheme was devised by an official-sounding group called the Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco.
